Fire crews were called to tackle a building fire in east Suffolk. 

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service received reports of the blaze in the area of Sutton Heath at 2pm on Tuesday.

Engines including crews from Ipswich and Woodbridge were sent to the scene.

Upon arrival, crews requested additional resources including an aerial ladder platform, a water carrier and a command support unit.

Speaking on Tuesday a spokesman for the fire service said they anticipated a number of appliances would remain at the scene into the night. 

Local roads were closed with drivers advised to avoid the area.
