Children at a Suffolk prep school have teamed up with a house builder to design the perfect children's bedroom.
A total of 45 pupils from South Lee Prep School in Bury St Edmunds took park in the challenge to design a child’s bedroom for the new show home at the St Edmunds Gate development in Bury St Edmunds.

After a thorough evaluation by the team at South Lee, 10 designs have been shortlisted and one will be chosen to beSarah Catchpole, Head of South Lee Prep School & Nursery, said: “This project has been an invaluable experience for our pupils. Working alongside Denbury Homes has given them a fantastic opportunity to apply their creativity to a real-world challenge.”
The children’s designs can be found on Denbury Homes’ Facebook and Instagram accounts with the public invited to select their favourite. The winner will be chosen by Denbury Homes and top interior designers from Suffolk firm Rendall & Wright. The winning design will be used for a child’s bedroom in the townhouse show home at St Edmunds Gate, due to open in February 2025.
