Here is the best Guinness World Records that have happened in Suffolk or involved people from the county. 

1. Longest chain of Suffolk's puffs (yoyos) 

The longest chain of Suffolk's puffs (yoyos) consists of 5,864 Suffolk puffs, achieved by the Museum of East Anglian Life in Stowmarket - now the Food Museum. 

This was achieved on the October 23, 2017 and was made from visitors of the museum and community participants. The team started collecting the puffs from as early as January.

2. Fastest time to pull aircraft over 500m by wheelchair (team of eight) 

A team of eight people from the Suffolk Braves Wheelchair Basketball Club pulled a Cessna 421 Eagle executive aircraft weighing four tonnes a distance of 500 metres in 16 minutes and 20 seconds. 

This was done on December 9 1998 at the Marshall Airport in Cambridge. 

3. Most dried peas moved using a straw in 30 seconds

The most dried peas moved using a straw in 30 seconds is 29 and was achieved by Cherry Yoshitake on the set of Officially Amazing by CBBC in Ipswich on July 12, 2014. 

4. Longest line of pom-poms 

The longest line of pom-poms is 45,736 and was achieved by Brandon in Bloom CIC (UK) in Brandon. 

This attempt was made in honour of the Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II.

The most somersaults through a hoop in one minute by a team is 43 and was achieved by Team Kinetix on the set of Officially Amazing in Suffolk on July 13, 2015. 

The record was achieved on the team's third attempt. 

6. Most doughnuts on a motorcycle in one minute

The most doughnuts on a motorcycle in one minute is 26, achieved by Mark Van Driel in Ipswich on September 4, 2022. 

He had an unsuccessful attempt at the record back in 2013 due to weather conditions on the day but finally was able to do it. 

7. Most stamps licked in five minutes

The most stamps licked in five minutes is 235 by Dean Gould of Felixstowe. 

He did this at the Brackenbury Sports Centre on July 30, 2000. 

8. Most ABBA songs recognised by their lyrics in one minute

The most ABBA songs recognised by their lyrics in one minute is 15 and was achieved by Luke Deal on BBC Radio Suffolk in Ipswich on November 17, 2016. 

He set the record as part of Guinness World Record Day in 2016 and nine other local radio shows in UK attempted the record but none managed to beat him. 

9. Largest Walking Bus

The world's largest walking bus involved 1,905 participants from Newmarket Schools Together which includes Laureate Community Primary School & Nursery, Paddocks Primary School, Exning Primary School, St Louis Catholic Primary School, All Saints CEVA Primary School, Houldsworth Valley Community Primary School, Ditton Lodge Community Primary School, Colourbox Montessori School, Stepping Stones Pre-School and Newmarket College. 

This was achieved in Newmarket on November 9, 2012 and the route was 1.2km long. 

10. Most drinks coasters snatched 

Dean Gould caught 2,390 beer mats in one hand stacked on his forearm and released in a downward movement at Brackenbury Sports Centre in Felixstowe on July 30, 2000.
