A Halesworth shop was caught selling alcohol to an underage volunteer of Suffolk Trading Standards, it has emerged.
An underage sales operation was carried out by Suffolk Trading Standards to three premises in Bungay, Halesworth and Saxmundham in the east of the county.
A retailer in a Halesworth shop sold alcohol which is an age restricted product to the underage volunteer, Suffolk Trading Standards said.
The legal age to buy alcohol, cigarettes, vapes or e-cigarettes in the country is 18 years old.
A spokesperson for Suffolk Trading Standards said: "Intelligence was received from police and members of the public on all of the retailers, with each given advice in previous months on their responsibilities.
"Each retailer was told that we would be visiting to test their due diligence. Investigations will continue."
