A driver has suffered minor injuries following a three-vehicle crash.
Police were called to the incident that happened in Wherstead Road just before 4.40pm today (Tuesday 3)
This collision involved two mopeds and a car.
Paramedics were also on scene attending to a driver with minor shoulder injuries.
Witnesses say the crash is blocking the road in both directions.
A police spokesman said at 7pm that police remain on the scene while they wait for recovery.
UPDATE: Two taken to hospital after moped crash in Ipswich
The AA traffic map showed there were severe delays along the road and throughout the town.
Traffic queued in both directions between junction 56 for the A14 and the roundabout with Vernon Street.
It came as tens of thousands of fans attended Portman Road stadium for Ipswich Town's clash against Crystal Palace.
The crash was cleared later in the evening.
