Ed Sheeran is at The Valley watching Ipswich Town play Charlton this afternoon.
The superstar musician, who has been a regular at Portman Road in recent years when not on tour, sponsors the club’s shirts and has recently agreed to continue on the front of the Blues’ shirts for a third season.
Sheeran and Town collaborated in recent months to design the club’s hugely popular black third kit, which has broken several sales records and is said to have become the most popular shirt in the club’s history.
Sheeran recently appeared on the That Peter Crouch podcast, discussing his love of the Blues and how he has a large, glowing, sign in the pub he has built at his family home in Framlingham.
The 31-year-old is enjoying a break from a lengthy world tour which has seen him travel England in recent months, ahead of a switch to the Australia and American legs next year.
He recently played an impromptu gig on the steps of the Town Hall in Ipswich, attracting thousands of fans after he announced it on his social media pages.
