Former Ipswich Town players Josh Harrop and Stephen Gleeson have suffered relegation with Cheltenham and Hitchin Town respectively. 

The two sides were official relegated from League One and the Southern League Premier Division Central on Saturday.

Harrop is at Cheltenham Town, having joined Darrell Clarke's side in January on a deal until the end of the season but couldn't help them prevent the drop to League Two after finishing 21st in the table. 

He has made 13 appearances for the Robins, who end their three-year spell in League One having won promotion back to the third tier in 2021 under manager Michael Duff. 

The 28-year-old midfielder spent the second half of the 2021/22 season at Portman Road on loan from Preston, making 14 appearances for the Blues. 

 

 

Gleeson is at Hitchin Town who were relegated from the seventh tier after drawing 0-0 at home to Stourbridge to finish fourth from bottom. with Suffolk side AFC Sudbury avoiding the drop as a result.

He joined the Canaries in November 2021, where he has been a regular in their side. They have suffered relegation to the eighth tier for the first time since 2010/11 season.

The Irishman made 10 appearances for the Blues during his brief spell under Mick McCarthy in the second of the 2017/18 season.
